Buying a Mekede Dudu7

There is a lot of misinformation online about buying car stereo systems direct from the factory in China. Ok, if you’re buying a $100 stereo, then guess what, you might have issues, but buying a premium system for a fraction of the cost, that is entirely different.

There is a lot of misinformation online about buying car stereo systems direct from the factory in China. Ok, if you’re buying a $100 stereo, then guess what, you might have issues, but buying a premium system for a fraction of the cost, that is entirely different.

I just purchased direct from the Mekede Mall website (Mekede factory) and purchased a 13″ open Android stereo, fully programmable to steering wheel buttons, screen tilts all directions, double DIN stereo with 25W RMS amplifier built-in, front and rear cameras, for $1,100AUD. Watch Youtube reviews about this system… it is the real deal. This is the best system purchase I have ever made in my life for a car stereo, better than Alpine.

Mekede make android systems for a lot of vehicles, and also sell a generic system. My Isuzu Dmax 2021 requires the generic system, just a single or double DIN. I purchased the double DIN which has an angle rotation for the screen so it can point towards me or the passenger for ease of viewing.

When looking at premium systems here in Australia, honestly, the prices are garbage. Thousands of dollars for a 9″ screen with a locked operating system (OS) that limits my needs at every turn.

I want an open, android system, where I can download everything in the Google Play store without limitations. Mekede allows just that, and you can do so up-to a 15″ rotatable screen if you want that much screen.

I added the system, front and rear cameras, to my cart, paid and then reached out to Mekede for a Facia and patch cables. About 15 minutes later I got a response, email address to talk with them, and after a couple of hours taking photos, finding installs on Youtube to snapshot cables and such, back and forth, they have included the cable and facia as part of the price.

Yep, part of the price. I was expecting a small invoice, but no! Here, in Australia to buy the facia and primary harness which includes a useless SWC module, combined, nearly $500 for about $10 of actual parts. China, Mekede, part of the price. Hell, the stuff from AerPro, probably all made in China. Mekede state they have facias and cables for around 10,000 vehicles, and they did not disappoint for a 2021 Isuzu Dmax X-Terrain.

Mekede service so far has been amazing. They clearly stated the facia and patch cable will take around 3 to 5 days to get in, then they will bundle it all and send.

I will keep you updated with this, but so far, just amazing, extremely professional service.

Received Update: Shipping took 3 days, China to me signing for it here in Melbourne. Mekede sent it via UPS, and the tracking site they provided didn’t work, but the tracking number straight into UPS website, and well, an hour later after I did that, I was signing for it. Mekede service has been amazing. They kept me informed at every stage via email, when the facia and cables arrived to them, they even sent a SWC module programmed to it for ease of use. Not needed, as the DUDU7 is programmable, and that module alone here in Australia costs a couple hundred. From Mekede with the system, FREE of charge. Chinese business want you to have an amazing experience, and that is what I got. Cannot fault the service in ordering to receipt of my Mekede products.
